Jack Sand
For
25 years Jack was a television weatherman on WDAY-TV Fargo and
WDAZ-TV Grand Forks, North Dakota. A magic trick was often
a part of his weather show. Jack also hosted a number of
other local TV shows and has been a TV spokesperson for many
companies appearing in hundreds of commercials. Jack
presents fun magic shows throughout the Region featuring

Darlene
(Hilde) Rolle
Darlene is our beloved Auntie Kreamsaugen. She grew up in Hagen Township near Ulen, MN
on a farm raking hay, singing and playing the ukulele, clarinet,
and yes, the double B flat tuba. Her professional career
began as a nurse. She held several positions in the Health
Care System including supervisor, manager and administrator of
an Assisted Living facility. She was also a Realtor in the
Fargo/Moorhead and Detroit Lakes areas. She is the top of
the food chain in the family and holds all the cards
when it comes to telling tall tales and family secrets. |

Lynette (Johnson) Guida
Lynette, singer, yodeler, guitarist and the middle of the Johnson sisters, is the owner
of Jaspers Jubilee Theater. Lynette supports her musical "hobby" by
owning and managing Straight River Log Homes. (www.straightriverloghomes.com)
She also performs with the Apostle Blues Band at various churches
throughout the year. |

Kathie (Johnson) Brekke
Kathie is the youngest of the Johnson siblings-- she performs around the region with the Apostle Blues Band and 42nd Street Jazz Band as well as teaches at Concordia College and MSUM. Kathie directs the musical aspect of the Jaspers show. You can go to

Shawn Brekke
Shawn is a trumpeter and band director who teaches in Fargo Public Schools. Shawn
performs with the Jazz Arts Group of Fargo and various other bands around the region, including the Apostles Blues Band.
You may remember him as "Ed" in the first season of Jasper's performed
as a dinner theater at the West Forty! |

Daniel Brekke
Daniel Brekke is the 12 year old son of Kathie and Shawn who plays drums,fiddle,
dances, sings, loves football, Elvis, Charlie Daniels and doing magic
for you! He plays upright Bass in his school's Orchestra and is in 7th
grade.

Kent "Biff" Karch
When Biff isn't playing music he can be found teaching special Ed in Moorhead public schools.
He also plays in the 42nd Street Jazz Band and the Apostles Blues Band. He and his wife Jacki (who is at the front counter) live in Moorhead. They
have 2 sons, Josh and Jason. Josh is a BSU football player!

Harley Sommerfeld
Harley is a retired band director who has mastered the art of playing jazz on flute, clarinet and sax--quite a treat to hear him play! He plays in 42nd Street Jazz Band, Jazz Arts Group, Hard Bop Sax Quartet and the Apostles. He is an all around great guy
and prides himself in being more normal than the rest of us. He
and his new bride, Candis live in Moorhead. |

Cash Guida
Cash Guida is the oldest daughter of Travis and Sarah Guida. She
is a 7th grader and enjoys music, drumming and dancing! She
would like to become a Veterinarian, until then, she is our
biggest cheerleader! |

Jeff
Menten
Jeff Menten plays a mean
Orange Blossom Special and a sweet ballad all on the same fiddle! He
teaches private lessons in the Staples-Motley School system as well as in
Park Rapids, Wadena, and Bemidji. He and his wife Randi, have opened
Menten's Pine Tree Music where you can

Sari
D. Miller
Sarah made her singing debut with the original
cast of Jasper's Dinner Theater when she was just 4 years old.
She has spent many hours
singing, dancing and barrel racing her horses! She is Don and Lynette Guida's
youngest daughter and lives with her husband, Ryan in
Bemidji. Sarah is a full time student at Bemidji State
University. |

Giddy
When he is
not performing with Jasper's, Travis
teaches Special Education in Bemidji and plays drums for his
church praise band. He and his wife Sarah have 4 wonderful children,
Cash, Imani, Beez and E.J. Travis loves to drum,
sing, coach football and basketball and also helps manage Eagle Beach Resort Travis and Sarah also own CG
Behavioral Consulting and host family retreats at Eagle Beach Resort.

Jacki Karch
Jacki
is a social worker in the Moorhead Schools and enjoys
scrapbooking, quilting and stamping as well as spending time
with her family at the lake. Jacki manages Jaspers concession
area and plays piano in the show. She and her husband “Biff”
live in Moorhead

Jim Knudson
Jim
has played drums in various bands of all genre’s in the region
for many years. He currently plays with the Jazz Arts Group of
Fargo-Moorhead as well as 42nd Street at the Ramada’s
“Jazz Night at Basie’s.” He works in construction and lives in
Fargo with his wife Kathy.

Jasmine Guida
Jasmine
Guida nicknamed "Imani" is 10 years old and lives in Bemidji
withher parents Travis and Sarah, Sister Kristina and two
brothers. She enjoys reading and playing the piano as well as
spending time at the family resort during the summers is excited
to dance and sing for you this summer at Jaspers.

Donovan Guida
Don't let "YaHootie" fool you! When he is not cleaning up
the barn, he is busy building log homes or flying his 182 Cessna.
Don has owned Straight River Log Homes since 1976. He and his
crews built the replicas of the Norwegian Stave Churches in Moorhead
Minnesota and also in Minot North Dakota. Many folks will remember
Don from his car racing days winning the Minnesota State Sprint Car
Championship. |

Past Performers
Val
(Johnson) Larson
Val is the oldest sister of the Johnson
family, a bassist and singer. She has been in the newspaper
business most of her life, as a writer, advertising sales
person, circulation manager and traveling the country as a key
note speaker at many national newspaper conventions where she
shared her innovative sales approach to publications of all
sizes.
Her musical career began in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in the
early 70's. You may have seen her in the Detroit Lakes,
Fargo-Moorhead and Park Rapids areas with her own band.
Val joins us when she is in the Park Rapids area as she now
resides in North Dakota near her son J.J. and his wife, Meagan
and their 5 year old son, Titus. |

Jim Sitte
Jim Sitte joined Jasper's for the 2nd season and hails from Fort Abercrombie, North Dakota and has been
entertaining for over 30 years throughout the United States and
Southeast Asia as a Vocalist, Composer, Guitarist, Banjo
and Mandolinist. From Opry shows in Tennessee, to Big Band Jazz,
Dixieland and Polka in Wisconsin, Gypsy String Jazz to Cowboy and
Western Swing in Montana, Appalachian Folk to Bluegrass, Classic Country
to Swing Standards, Jim has been performing for the past 30 years
playing it all and still loving it all.
Jim recorded 7CD's of jazz standards and bluegrass originals in his studio
at Fort Abercrombie, North Dakota. He has won numerous picking
contests on guitar, banjo and mandolin and is the "reigning" We Fest
Guitar Champion! |

Brooke Johnson
Brooke is Wally and Pam's youngest daughter and is currently attending the
University of Minnesota. She is performing with the
University of Minnesota Marching Band! Go Gophers!!!
She loves horses, singing and playing her flute! She joined our cast in our
first season as part of our lighting crew and performed our 2nd season
singing, dancing and playing with the Jasper's Jubilee Band. |

Martin Vigessaa
Martin Vigessaa performed in the 2005 season adding guitar, mandolin and
steel guitar. Currently he is performing with his band in the
Fargo/Moorhead area and also owns Viggessa Studios.

Wally, the middle child of 6, has been the Johnson family
drummer since he was in grade school! He owns and operates
Johnson Welding in Detroit Lakes specializing in semi trailer
repair. He performs with the Apostle Blues Band and spent
years performing around Northern Minnesota with Dee and the
Country Boys Band. Wally's wife Pam, greets people at the
front All three of their children (Tiffany, Ryan and
Brooke) have performed with Jasper's in previous seasons.

Randal
Guida
It's always a treat when Randal Guida joins the show with comedy, dance &
vocals. He and
his wife Nicole are the owners of Guida Masonry of Park Rapids.
They have been blessed with 6 children and a 7th on the way! (Ahlias, Katrielle,
Isaiah, Madeline, Sophia and Tabitha)
A natural comedian, Randal is Don & Lynette's oldest son.

Dee
(Hilde) Johnson (1934-2005)
In Loving MemoryDee Johnson was our mother, sister,
grandmother and friend who inspired us all to live life to the
fullest and fill it with love and laughter. She was an entertainer,
singer, bassist, yodeler and a most remarkable mother who taught us
all the love music and the joy of sharing it. She left this world on Nov. 22, 2005
to join Jesus. Although she will be missed, a part of her will be in
every smile, every song, every joke and will live on in us for
generations. Thank you Dee Dee, you will not be forgotten. |
